happy valentine's day!

Last night, my musical improv team Garage Band performed in an amazing show that served dually as a mashup of comedy and music and as a fundraiser for the Trevor Project. A lot of people can feel lonely on a day like today, but I hope that's not the case for you. I hope you realize that there are so many people out there who love you and want you in their lives. Take a moment today and look around you. If you look for love in your life, you'll find it. You might not find it in a romantic partner, but you will find it in a friend, a family member, or even your puppy who woke you up with kisses this morning (shoutout to princess Archibald!). The point is this: if you're feeling down, I bet there's someone else in your life who might be feeling down, too. Reach out to loved ones.

It's amazing that an organization like The Trevor Project exists. It's a group made up of people who care so much about others - even strangers - that they make sure they're accessible 24/7 for crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ youth. What a beautiful organization full of love. I'm so happy my team got to be a part of a show that benefitted an organization like The Trevor Project. If we all put love out there, we'll receive it back tenfold.

Valentine's Day has always been one of my favorite days of the year not because of the commercial madness it has become but because at its core, it is simply a message of love. And I love that.
