Your Weekend Binge Watch: Threshing Day

Your Weekend Binge Watch is back and looks a little different this week!

Your Weekend Binge Watch: Threshing Day is actually a book recommendation! I picked up Rebecca Yarros' novella Threshing Day last week when it was released and enjoyed it so much I had to force myself to slow down and space it out over a couple days (and then I wrote the song I posted on my Instagram and linked it here after trying her interactive online Threshing experience...just click on the photo of me/play button to listen!!! every click helps!!!).**

Threshing Day is a novella of 13 short stories that take place on the same day (though not the same year), Threshing Day is a lovely addition to the Empyrean Series that doesn't necessarily move the story forward but does add lots of new information and detail that previously didn't exist.

If you haven't read any of Yarros' other Empyrean Series books, you could still read most of Threshing Day and stop when she notes there will be spoilers (later in the book before the last few stories). Otherwise, as I've recommended in the Book Besties section of my website, I've loved Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, and Onyx Storm, so I would recommend starting at the beginning with Fourth Wing. If you're not sure you're ready to dive in and want to test the waters first, give Threshing Day a try, remembering to stop before you read any spoilers (they're noted)!

Happy reading! I'll be back with a new YWBW soon!

** And if you've made it this far and watched the video above of the song I wrote, know that you can experience your very own Threshing Day and (hopefully) bond with a dragon at Dragonkind, a free and interactive site Rebecca Yarros created for fans!
