thank you! Maxim round 5!

Happy Friday! I'm currently writing to you from Napa Valley, and I just wanted to take some time today to, once again, say thank you. I have made it to round 5 and the top 5 of my group for the #MaximCoverGirl contest. I'm still repeatedly blown away by just how many people continue to show up for me in the daily voting. I’ve been able to see the names of people who have been voting, and I’ve been completely overwhelmed at times with the amount of love and support I’ve been receiving.

Since this contest is based on votes, I literally would not be doing as well as I am without you casting votes for me. I am both overjoyed and also humbled. People I’ve known from childhood and boarding school, friends from Villanova, sorority sisters of Pi Beta Phi, talented improvisers from all over the globe I’ve met in New York, Chicago, LA, and while performing in Europe, friends of friends, family of friends, and my incredible family members who have been showing up to help me achieve my goals has filled my heart with so much love that no matter what happens in the long run, I consider myself a winner already simply based on having such a strong, supportive, loving network of friends, family, and cheerleaders in my corner, helping me take on this Maxim competition.

So, today and everyday, thank you. I am so grateful to you for the support, the kind words, the shares, the motivational messages, and the votes. I wouldn’t have made it to round 5 without your help, and I’m so excited to see just how far we can get in this process together. I need to be in first place in my group by the time voting closes this coming Thursday, July 2, so I really need your help now more than ever!

If you didn’t get a chance to read why this contest is important to me and what I plan to do with the prize money, you can click here to read the post I wrote when this contest first started. The long and short of it is this: If I were to win that money, I would use the $25k to start a foundation that helps empower and encourage young girls to embrace their authentic selves, allowing them to be comfortable in their own skin with every magical thing that makes them unique. If a girl wants to be an athlete, amazing. If she wants to be a scientist, awesome. If she wants to play video games, great! If she wants to be a cop or firefighter or nurse or influencer or yoga instructor or fitness model or QVC host or neurosurgeon or a Bard High Elf with impressive Charisma stats, incredible! Whatever girls want to do in their lives, I want to help them know that they don't have to align themselves with the expectations of what the world (or the society in which they live) thinks they should do. And I want them to know that they can be however many things they want to be without putting themselves in a box. So, please, I'd love it if you'd vote for me for Maxim CoverGirl by clicking here or on the photo at the top of this page so I can show younger girls what I wanted to see when I was their age - not just a model but a role model, too.

I am so incredibly grateful for you. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Johny
